This is the other side of the view towards Noosa - quite boring really. 

Yesterday we had a good trip up the range to the Cootharaba Lookout. The guy who slashes the Noosa Trail in our area told us that there was an easy way to get to Cootharaba Lookout - by 4wheel drive. It was quite easy using Trickle Creek road we had only one obstacle a small fallen tree. After 5 minutes of cleaning up all that was left was to negotiate the not so clean Trickle Creek road. From the end of the road it is only a 5 minute walk to the lookout. The view towards Noosa is not so exciting but the view towards Kin Kin is very picturesque. I have no idea how you get to these wonderful roling country! But I will find out one day.

It's good to find a shady place after a hot days shopping.

I love the botanical garden in Singapore. For me it is a picture of the tropics. Especially on Sundays you can see scenes like the one on this picture. A real peaceful setting.

I like to go back to my old photos and apply all the new innovations in the everchanging editing softwares. 

I think it is a sign of old age when you enjoy looking at old family photos. 

I really enjoy the Azalea season. It's hard not to take photos most of them good for the waste basket. But playing around with them is fun - not great art but fun. 

This is one of my favourite spots on the Noosa River. You can't really get enough watching the pelicans and the changing light. 

It was a glorious sunset. Sometimes you are lucky and the birds appear at the right time.

It is quite amazing what Picasa2 can do. The normal comment is usually ... for the prize...This is one of the most useless comments. If it won't do what I want it to do then it is useless to me even if it was free. Well Picasa is free and it does a hell of a lot of things I need it to do - plus more as in the photo below. I love it because it does what my "serious applications" won't do - find photos, email photos and blog photos in a user friendly way 

Another one 

This was done with the new close up lens for the Panasonic LC1. The manual focus works extremely well with the "bad" viewfinder of the LC1. It is certainly easier to focus than with the 5D.

The fog was pretty dense and the sun came only through at about 9am at Lake Cootharaba
 

You can see the sun rays almost every morning unless the air is really clear.
