Alle Bilder sind von Zuers. Ziemlich sicher mit der Canon F1 gemacht auf Kodachrome (25ASA). Jetzt werde ich mal den DELTA vo Ilford probieren.

I took the good old Minolta CLE out with the Canon 50/1.4 and bought a Kodack BW400CN. The dynamic range of this film is quite amazing. But amazing is also what sort of quality you get back from a normal lab. Even in my worst times I have never produced as dirty a film as I got back yesterday. If scanned with 4800 you can see the blobs (grain) very clearly so I went back to 3200 and this was quite reasonable.

Can you find the Kookaburra?

The Sunshine coast classic rally came past our house today. Lots of nice cars and a lot of noise. The Canon proofed to be the right choice for this task. Not so much because of the autofocus - it cetainly helped, but more so because I could use the 800 Isoand achieve sufficiently short shutter speeds. The M8 was easier to use because of the viewfinder, you could follow the cars much easier, but the speeds I had to use were too long. This is the slight corner opposite our drive way.

This is the first test portrait with the new CV75. It seems to be not that contrasty lovely for BW. The Leica mount version of the CV is absolutely great. I think it is even sharper than the old one.

It was the last option when I finally succeeded in separating the head from the body of the 135 mm. It certainly was worth while. Not only is the 135 head a great macro lens it also allows with the bellows a wide range of magnifications.
